One of the ways IBTTA develops the next generation of toll industry leaders is through the Leadership Academy Executive Development Program. It’s an intensive, weeklong course in all facets of toll agency operations, administration, finance, marketing, business development, board relations, public affairs and related topics.

Be the Worldwide Association for the Toll Industry

The mission of the IBTTA International Task Force is to reinforce IBTTA’s identity as an international organization. This mission flows from one of the major objectives of the Strategic Business Plan (2008-2010) adopted by the Board. One of the initial goals of this task force is to develop information, intelligence, case studies, and concrete arguments to vanquish the notion that travelling beyond the borders of one’s own country (or even one’s own state) is a boondoggle and not worthy of the expenditure of toll agency resources.

Extend/expand federal credit enhancement legislation (TIFIA) and be at the table in crafting the next surface transportation authorization.

Move forward with the 2008-2010 business plan and 2009 budget.

The IBTTA Board approved the 2008-2010 Business Plan at the January 2008 Board meeting. The major objectives of this three-year business plan are to:

Position IBTTA as the thought leader on user financed transportation
Strengthen our meetings and educational offerings
Enhance our data warehouse and related information products
Invest in the staff and technology needed to better serve the members
Reinforce IBTTA’s identity as an international organization
Move towards a strategic governance model
